Not much different than his father, when you think about it. The only difference is the change of perspective:
The father has the big picture and is thinking about everyone he lost (outside looking in) while Ruteus was in the thick of it just trying to survive (inside looking out).

Interestingly enough is that in this episode, Rutius showed more maturity than his grieving father as he instantly understood the big picture while his father had long-since stopped looking at his son as another victim.

I get that his father is upset with the way thing are because he feels helpless but dam fuck him your son just returned to you after a year and a half and all you could do is scold him because he didn't see your massages because he just was trying to survive to get him and eris back home to everyone yet that wasn't good enough for his father. The more i see his father the more i dislike him. instead just filling him in on everything so they work together his father just pushes him away like it was rudeus fault this all is happening.

You are mainly looking at it through Rudeus eyes. Have you looked at Paul? His eyes says enough. Man looks like a Mappa Employee thatd been on drugs for the past years and a half. He is obviously stressed knowing that his family could be dead while trying to make the best of his situation. Then you meet your son after 3 years acting saying his past year and a half has been all sunshine and rainbows. I would be pissed as well if I was him. Also just in case you forgot but Rudeus is physically 11 years old while mentally 40+ years old.

Rudeus got teleported when he was at the center of the calamity, he didn't know the radius unlike Paul. Obviously it would of crossed his mind if he got teleported in the village knowing everyone else did as well (where paul was). Plus he got teleported in the most dangerous continent and almost died multiple times.

There are only 4 people who know Rudeus' mental age. Rudeus, the mad God, the author, and the viewers, that us. As far as other characters in this story, Rudeus is 11 years old. Why would a grown man be shouting at the physical body of an 11-year-old child? Especially when he's been through a traumatic experience such as involuntary teleportation. Rudeus coulnt have know how big the magical event was. He was right in the middle of it. for all he knew the event stopped after it consumed him and eris.
